Scott Eastwood follows his fathers footsteps
Scott Eastwood follows his fathers footsteps
Take a look at his son, Scott Eastwood, who smolders in the October issue of Town & Country magazine – and conjures up images of his handsome father in his Dirty Harry days.
The 27-year-old Monterey, Calif., native, whose mother is Jacelyn Reeves, also shares something else with his famous father: a passion for acting. In September, he began filming Fury, a World War II movie with Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, and next appears in the film The Perfect Wave, playing a surfer seeking the ultimate swell.
He's also appeared alongside his recently separated father in Flags of Our Fathers, Gran Torino and Trouble with the Curve, but the younger Eastwood insists he's paid his dues like everyone else.
"People assumed that I would have everything handed to me, but that couldn't be further from the truth," he said, ticking off odd jobs he's held including bar tending, working construction and valeting cars. "I was on my own just doing the grind."
"As a director and an actor, my dad's motto is 'Tell the truth.' The only way of doing that is having life experiences and being a storyteller," he told the magazine.
Another thing he seems to have inherited from his father? Straight-talking ambition.
"I want to be a man's man – not a kid actor or a glitzy pop star but a no bull–– leading man," he declared.
With those rugged good looks, we predict anything's possible.
“People assumed that I would have everything handed to me, but that couldn't be further from the truth," he said. "I was on my own just doing the grind.”
Scott first started modeling in college, according to Interview magazine, and then switched over to acting. He made appearances in Clint's 2006 film "Flags of Our Fathers," and then in 2008's box office hit "Gran Torino." But the Monterey, Calif., native has bigger dreams.
“I want to be a man's man — not a kid actor or a glitzy pop star but a no-bullshit leading man," he told Town & Country, adding, “As a director and an actor, my dad's motto is 'Tell the truth.' The only way of doing that is having life experiences and being a storyteller.”
Want to see more of Scott? The heartthrob has joined the cast of David Ayer's WWII flick, "Fury," due out in 2014, according to Deadline.com. He appears alongside Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman.
